Youth Engagement

Sairam! Under the direction of SSTGC, the Sai Youth Committee will be hosting summer camps for students grades 1-8 (recommended). However, children and adults above 5 years of age are welcome to join. Each camp will consist of 5 sessions (Monday through Friday) from either 10am to 11am or 1pm to 2pm each day (depending on the camp). All camps will be run completely virtually (via Zoom or Google Meets). Each camp will be organized and led by a combination of high school students, college students, and adults who have demonstrated a level of expertise in the subject of the camp they will be teaching.

Each camp will require a donation of $20/person (child or adult) to the Sri SaiBaba Temple, and upon registeration on this Signup Genius, you will receive information regarding the payment process. The dates of each camp and end date for registration can be found below. Be sure to sign up quickly as spaces are limited!

Overview

Offerings and Location:

This year, the Sai Baba Temple summer camps will be held virtually on Zoom or Google Meets due to the current COVID-19 situation. There are ten summer camps being held this year, which will provide a fun and engaging experience for students to attend! More information about the summer camps can be found in the “Summer Camp Options” page of the website.

Teachers:

High school/college students and adults that have experience and expertise in the topics the camp covers will be leading and teaching the camps.

Age Range:

The camps will be geared toward students from grades K-8. However, anyone 5 years and above (including adults!) is eligible to join and participate in the camps! We will work with each individual student’s needs to ensure they have a rewarding experience and are excited to attend the camp again in the future.

Summer Camp Length:

Each summer camp will be 1 hour per day, 5 days a week (weekdays). Beginning during the week of July 5th, there will be two camps every week (one from 10am-11am and another from 1pm-2pm) until the week of August 2nd, when our 10 summer camps will officially be over. During each week, students will have activities they will complete in order to learn more about the topic their summer camp is about.

Summer Camp Limit:

There is not a limit for the summer camps. Students can participate in any number of summer camps they are interested in!
